"6 weeks ago, I joined Top Gun Crossfit at the behest of my wife, who has been a member for a year. I am a 47 year old man that keeps moderately fit, commuting to work via bicycle. I had no expectation of any improvement in my fitness. Before I joined Crossfit I was resigned to having a "dad bod."
In the past six weeks I've tweaked my diet slightly, having an extra serving of vegetables a day and eliminating my late-night ice-cream. The first few workouts really wiped me out, but by about week 3 I was looking forward to them. Now, six weeks in, I am feeling the most fit I've been in the past 20 years. I am starting to see abdominal muscles where in my midsection had been an amorphous blob. The thing I like most, though, is looking forward to the challenge of a new "workout of the day", and then the rush of accomplishment when I finish a workout."
