FAVORITE MUSIC TYPE / GROUP: The Avett Brothers
CHILDREN / PETS ?: We have a three-year daughter (Zuzu) and two dogs (Mika and Zoey) - but most days, it feels more like we have three toddlers. ;)
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: Montana
HOBBIES: Living room dance parties, going to the playground, and reading the same book five times in a row. :) When I’m not playing with Zuzu, I enjoy doing CrossFit, cooking, eating, yoga, hiking, reading, and writing.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU DONE CROSSFIT AND WHAT MADE YOU TRY IT OUT ? I tried CrossFit for the first time in 2013, shortly after Seth started. The WOD was rowing and burpees. I couldn’t lift my arms above 90-degrees for days afterwards and didn’t go back. :) Then...after listening to Seth talk about it pretty much constantly for the next year, I signed up for Bootcamp and a Paleo Challenge in January 2014, participated in my first Open a couple months later, and was officially hooked.
WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT CROSSFIT AT FIRST? I wish I would’ve done this sooner.
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT CROSSFIT AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED YOUR LIFE: I love the variety, the challenge, and the community. The workouts are hard, but the process is simple: show up, put forth your best effort (alongside an incredibly supportive and hard-working group of people), and get better every day.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU DONE CROSSFIT AND WHAT MADE YOU TRY IT OUT ? Circa 2013 I was out of shape and looking to lose a few lbs. I ended up finding a place with great friends, lifestyle and somewhere I can push myself.
WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT CROSSFIT AT FIRST? This shit is Hard ‘AF’
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT CROSSFIT AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED YOUR LIFE: I find the thing I like the most is it gives me an outlet to get better at something every time I walk through that door. I am also fairly competitive and it allows me to scratch that itch every once and a while(or every time I work out).
