How long have you been doing CrossFit

   3 years

Why did you start CrossFit ?

At the time was heartbroken over a relationship ending, and my roommate Patrick Nelson suggested Crossfit to let off some steam. I was terrified to try it, but am glad I got over my fears.

What was your first thought of CrossFit before you started ?

Thought it was going to be scary and that I wouldn't be able to do the workouts.

What is / are you favorite things about CrossFit ?

The community of people-- that the workouts are never the same-- always variety.  It pushes me in ways I would never push myself on my own!

What is your greatest accomplishment so far ?

Since joining Crossfit, no one ever tells me I'm 'skinny' any longer.  I HATE being called skinny; it has such a negative connotation and implies that the person is TRYING to be that way, when in some cases, it's just genetics.  Apparently building about 10 lbs of muscle will put you in the STRONG category.  I've felt the strongest I ever have. Had to chuckle when even my 83 year old neighbor has commented on how strong I am.  I love that Crossfit does not have mirrors like other gyms-- takes the focus off of how one looks physically and puts the focus on strength and overall ability

Skills you want to work on ?
Pull ups.

Advice to people considering CrossFit

Don't let the cost deter you-- it's worth every penny!
