Five Ways to Lose Fat Without Dieting

There are many ways to lose fat that don’t involve dieting. Diets are usually crash diets and limit your calories to a very low level. You do lose weight but at first, it’s mostly water weight. And when you’re done dieting, you gain the fat back because your body was in starvation mode. So, instead of being hangry and tired all the time, try these 5 ideas instead. Start with one and add the others weekly.


1.Drink More Water

Many of us are dehydrated and we don’t even know it. Being thirsty can be confused with being hungry. Drinking more water has been shown to be an effective means of weight loss because it can curb your appetite, especially if you drink a glass right before your meal. Drinking water also flushes toxins and helps your kidneys and bladder functioning well. Keep a bottle of water handy and watch that fat melt off.

2.Get Active by Playing a Sport

It can be any sport that you enjoy. More active is better – basketball, swimming, racquetball, etc are all great ways to get moving and work up a sweat. Golf, yes Golf, is a great way to walk and enjoy the sunshine while you’re burning calories. If you have dogs that love to run, a nice early morning jog can be sport !!! Moving and being active are a great way to get rid of fat.


Yoga is great for getting flexible, finding your inner peace and yes, working up a sweat. You can do it in the comfort of your own home – start easy and move to more difficult movements as you go. You can do hot yoga, flowing yoga, etc – all of which will burn off body fat.

4. Build Muscle

Lifting weights will result in gaining some muscles… that is a good thing !!! You won’t bulk up ( that is unnatural ). Muscles burn more calories throughout the day just being muscles !!! Within a few months you’ll notice your clothing fitting better and you’ll be stronger too.

5.Walk For An Hour Daily

This doesn’t have to be a brisk walk but just walk. If you have a dog, then you not only have a great reason to walk but you get to do it with your four-legged buddy. On rainy days walk inside on a treadmill or a mall. You’ll notice the fat melting off you.
